As part of the narrative: The print depicts the landscape towards the end of the narrative. At this point the lightning, thunder and rain begins.

About the technique:- A bit of an awkward one to print this. 12 unetched squares are inked with a roller in blue ink. These are arranged into the 2 by 6 shape and run through the press. Then the 12 etched plates are rolled over in black and then positioned exactly where the blue ones were and run back through the press.

I shouldn't moan about this as other techniques are far, far more difficult but, for me, registration on this one is a nerve wracking affair as make a mistake and you have to start again!
