So What?
As part of the
narrative: As the flood waters settle Archer
is found sitting on a tiny flower covered island.
This print is my answer to William Blakes
famous picture Newton.
In Blakes print Newton is shown so immersed in his thoughts
about science that he fails to appreciate the strange beauty
of the moss covered rock on which he rests. Blake's view was
that to focus entirely on one was to ignore the spiritual
beauty of Gods creation.
Similarly in my print Archer contemplates
his thoughts and inner visions whilst ignoring the chaotic
beauty of the remaining small part of the natural world he
sits on.
