"Archer on the Slopes." 2001 Relief Etching. 39cm x 39cm Paper: Hahnemule

This print has been used to illustrate the cover of the self titled debut album by Songs of Green Pheasant. It was released on CD on the 12th September 2005 on Fat Cat Records.

As part of the narrative: This print is composed of many small pictures, each depicting a scene from the narrative. They are all etched into a single piece of copper.

Notes on the print: After testing the relief etching technique out with three small prints I embarked on this much larger one. The process of coming up with the images gave me lots of ideas for the series. The plate is first printed from its reverse in a sepia tone and then the front of the plate is printed in black over the top of that.
